On 01/15/2023 (4 hours), we finished removing the last branch from a maple tree close to the road using a rope chain saw. We also started removing several trees that were too close to the road. We would like to thank the Ohio Department of Transportation for cutting down some trees, prior to our arrival on 02/12/2023 (4 hours), that appeared to be dead or dying and were close to the road. We then cut the trees into smaller sections that could be moved out of the way. We also started to create an edging for the parking area using the cut logs. We prepared part of the lot close to the road for planting on 03/25/2023 (4 hours) by removing existing vegetation exposing the soil. We then spread white Dutch clover seeds on the area that was prepared. White Dutch clover was selected so as to minimize the amount of mowing that will be required in this area. The contractor finished installing the driveway on 03/16/2022 and we began clearing the land for the parking area on 03/19/2022 (4 hours). The work is being done by ourselves with just hand tools. The brush is being cut up in small pieces and being used for a wood chip parking area. On 04/23/2022 (4 hours), we cut up with shears and cleaned up vinyl siding that appeared to be from an old house on the property that is no longer there. We moved just about all of the dirt on 05/14/2022 (4 hours) from the pile on the left to the hole where the foundation used to be. This was done with just a mattock and a couple of shovels and 5-gallon buckets. We finished moving the dirt on 06/11/2022 (4 hours) from the pile on the left to the hole where the foundation used to be. Started clearing the brush around the removed dirt pile with hand tools. After looking at numerous potential sites for a new miniature golf course in the late summer and fall of 2021, we went back to take a second look at a property in Andover Twp, OH on 11/06/2021. Out of the sites that we visited, this one had what we were looking for and so we made an offer on 11/08/2021. There were several reasons why we selected this particular site. It was located on a major road not far from a state park. Pymatuning Lake State Park is a large recreational area located on the border of northwestern Pennsylvania and northeastern Ohio, containing one of the largest lakes in Pennsylvania at 17,088 acres. It is one of the most visited state parks in Pennsylvania attracting approximately 3.7 million visitors annually. The site is also relatively flat and has a nice creek that runs through it.
