Added Patio Area

We cut down a half fallen dead tree on 01/18/2025 (3.5 hours). In addition, we cut up some dead trees that were on the ground and used them for edging. On 02/17/2025 (1.5 hours) we heard a tree making a cracking noise in the wind and snow. Upon looking closer at the tree, we discovered a big crack in its trunk. It looked like it could fall at any time. Since we were working close to the tree, we decided to cut it down. It was the largest tree that we cut down that day. We also cut down 2 smaller trees and cut up another tree that had previously fallen and was on the ground. The roads were snow covered which increased our travel time and so we had less time to work on the course. We cut up 3 trees on the ground on 03/22/2025 (4 hours) and added them to the log edging. Finished Clearing Brush for Course

We cut down about a half dozen small, less than 6 inches in diameter, trees on 01/21/2024 (4 hours) in the parking area on the right. We then stacked the logs from the cut trees to form a border to the parking area on the right. We also cleared brush along the creek. All of the work was done using a machete, loppers, and hedge shears. On 02/18/2024 (6 hours) we removed brush from a small island. This island will most likely become the main focal point of the miniature golf course. We also cleared brush along the creek. All of the work was done using a machete and loppers. We cleared brush on 03/09/2024 (5 hours) on the left side of the creek by hand using loppers and a machete. There are some small trees that seem to be fairly healthy that we would like to keep and design the course around. Installed a Couple of Mulch Parking Spaces

On 01/15/2023 (4 hours), we finished removing the last branch from a maple tree close to the road using a rope chain saw. We also started removing several trees that were too close to the road. We would like to thank the Ohio Department of Transportation for cutting down some trees, prior to our arrival on 02/12/2023 (4 hours), that appeared to be dead or dying and were close to the road. We then cut the trees into smaller sections that could be moved out of the way. We also started to create an edging for the parking area using the cut logs. We prepared part of the lot close to the road for planting on 03/25/2023 (4 hours) by removing existing vegetation exposing the soil. We then spread white Dutch clover seeds on the area that was prepared. White Dutch clover was selected so as to minimize the amount of mowing that will be required in this area. Driveway Installed and Cleared Brush from Parking Area

The contractor finished installing the driveway on 03/16/2022 and we began clearing the land for the parking area on 03/19/2022 (4 hours). The work is being done by ourselves with just hand tools. The brush is being cut up in small pieces and being used for a wood chip parking area. On 04/23/2022 (4 hours), we cut up with shears and cleaned up vinyl siding that appeared to be from an old house on the property that is no longer there. We moved just about all of the dirt on 05/14/2022 (4 hours) from the pile on the left to the hole where the foundation used to be. This was done with just a mattock and a couple of shovels and 5-gallon buckets. We finished moving the dirt on 06/11/2022 (4 hours) from the pile on the left to the hole where the foundation used to be. Started clearing the brush around the removed dirt pile with hand tools. Selecting the Site for a New Miniature Golf Course

After looking at numerous potential sites for a new miniature golf course in the late summer and fall of 2021, we went back to take a second look at a property in Andover Twp, OH on 11/06/2021. Out of the sites that we visited, this one had what we were looking for and so we made an offer on 11/08/2021. There were several reasons why we selected this particular site. It was located on a major road not far from a state park. Pymatuning Lake State Park is a large recreational area located on the border of northwestern Pennsylvania and northeastern Ohio, containing one of the largest lakes in Pennsylvania at 17,088 acres. It is one of the most visited state parks in Pennsylvania attracting approximately 3.7 million visitors annually. The site is also relatively flat and has a nice creek that runs through it.
