Cut Down Two Dead Trees on Right Near Road

On 07/13/2024 we cut down two dead trees on the right side of the property close to the road. We used a pole saw to set a rope around the upper half of the trees. We then attached the rope to an already fallen tree on the ground. We used a come-along to get the trees to lean away from the road. We then made the face cuts and back cuts at the base of the trees with the two-man saw to get them to fall away from the road. When they were close to falling, we pulled the saw out and used wedges to finish getting them to fall away from the road. We worked for 4 hours.

The contractor finished installing the driveway on 03/16/2022. We began clearing the land for the parking area. The work is being done by ourselves with just hand tools. The brush is being cut up in small pieces and being used for a wood chip parking area. We worked on it for 4 hours.

Final Grass Cut of the Season

On 10/15/2023 we cut the grass for the last time this season using a scythe and weed whip. In addition, we laid down another 3-foot-wide row of landscape fabric and mulch in the parking area. We also installed small sections of landscape fabric and mulch spaced 8 feet apart in a row for eastern white pine frost seeding to be done next month. We also weeded the planting bed in preparation for frost seeding black chokeberry next month. We worked for 4 hours.
