On 09/17/2022 we cleared the brush around three big pine trees which we intend to keep. We also used a two man hand saw for the first time which we purchased from a local flea market. The saw is approximately 5 foot 6 inches in length. It did a great job cutting up some of the big limbs that were on the ground which had previously fallen from some of the dead trees. We worked for 4 hours.

The contractor finished installing the driveway on 03/16/2022. We began clearing the land for the parking area. The work is being done by ourselves with just hand tools. The brush is being cut up in small pieces and being used for a wood chip parking area. We worked on it for 4 hours.

Final Grass Cut of the Season

On 10/15/2023 we cut the grass for the last time this season using a scythe and weed whip. In addition, we laid down another 3-foot-wide row of landscape fabric and mulch in the parking area. We also installed small sections of landscape fabric and mulch spaced 8 feet apart in a row for eastern white pine frost seeding to be done next month. We also weeded the planting bed in preparation for frost seeding black chokeberry next month. We worked for 4 hours.
