Felling Dead Trees
We cut down a 50-foot-tall maple tree on 01/17/2026 (6 hours). The tree was close to and leaning towards the road. We climbed the tree and were able to get a rope around it about 40 feet up. We then used a come-along attached to the trunk of a large tree to get the tree to lean away from the road. We were able to cut the tree and wedge it over so that it fell parallel to the road. On 02/15/2026 (4 hours) we pruned about a dozen trees while they were still dormant. We used a rope chainsaw, pole saw, and step ladder to do the pruning. We also cut down a few dead trees.
